Welcome to our practice

Port City Neurosurgery and Spine is located at 1025 Medical Center Drive, Suite 201, Wilmington, NC, on the second floor of the Delaney Radiologists building. This office was chosen to facilitate patient care by offering patients one location in which to attend to their radiologic and neurosurgical needs.

Already a respected neurosurgeon in Wilmington, Dr. George A. Alsina established Port City Neurosurgery & Spine in 2009. The practice provides exceptional care to the residents of New Hanover County and surrounding areas.

Please be aware that in order to schedule an appointment at our office, you must have a referral from another doctor or the hospital emergency department. We hope this does not inconvenience you; we simply are trying to avoid wasting your time and money. After all, not all patients who have a neurological problem are surgical candidates. A visit to a neurologist or other specialist first may save you a co-pay at our office.

Referring physicians are also able to order radiological tests, such as MRIs, that provide necessary information to a neurosurgeon. This step will expedite your care and appointment time should you need to see a neurosurgeon.

Also please note that our office does not store films. Depending on the facility at which your films were taken, we may be able to access them online; however, these computer systems are not 100% reliable. To prevent being rescheduled, you MUST bring your films with you EVERY TIME you come to your appointment (images on a CD are fine, as well).

For your convenience, we have provided our patient forms for you to download and fill out prior to your scheduled appointment.
